MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE

Christmas is to celebrate the birth of Jesus or something like tat. Time for forgiving and time for giving.

So hw i spend the day? Sleep until 11am. Wake up then go uncle house for gathering cum house warming. my uncle got 2 dogs. one little brown poodle and one big golden retriever. quite fun playing with them. the poodle is super active, running and jumping. the golden retriever is one big lazy dog. but his golden hair is beautiful.

Guess what, xmas is definitely a wonderful day to celebrate. Coz, from jasmine's blog , her bf proposed to her on xmas. so left hand 4th finger got ring liao lor.

one more is my uni friend cynthia. her bf jay also proposed on xmas.

so two wedding bells ringing soon lah.

xmas is also wonderful rite. although nothing wonderful happen to me today lah. but being here on xmas is already a gift. So i cant wish for more liao. or maybe i can lah. maybe a tinny winny little wish? maybe can let me strike off the remaining items in my wishlist so that i dun have to bring them over to 2008?

so that is 6 days from now? The one on losing weight to 75 and the one for skating can wait lah. so what left? the most important one of coz.

Went to Abelle's son Maxime 1st birthday party just now. Happy birthday Max!! Hope your mummy will buy some nice nice things with the ang bao that i gave you. One year old liao, must faster learn how to walk ah. You see cherilyn jie jie already know how to walk liao. You cannot lose to a girl ah. hehe.

Very very busy ah

These few weeks very very busy. And will be busy until end Jan 08 i think. Just came back from a business trip. Went to Ho Chi Minh City to do project demo and user training to my fellow Vietnamese colleagues at Ho Chi Minh branch. Quite a fruitful trip. The Vietnamese are very friendly people and they are skillful in art so everywhere in Ho Chi Minh City, you can see many shops selling art pieces. Very nice. Actually want to buy some back, but I have no idea where to put at home. Hah. Anyway their driving skills also very power. 5 people on a motorbike you see before? A bike carrying 20++ boxes on the back seat you see before? Thousands of bike on the road you see before? Very interesting place to visit. But stay there too long you get bored lah. Thats for me lah. haha. Every where still quite like 70's chinatown. People just squat down or sit on little stools along the road to eat pho (vietnamese bee hoon) and drink ice kopi-o (vietname fav. beverage). Most buildings are quite run-down. But there are many developments going on. I think in a few years time, a lot of things will changed.

See their powerful driving, i think i cannot drive there. If i drive, i think i may kill some bikers.

Today is my youngest brother birthday. He's 19 years old today. Still a small boy lah. LoL. Went to a buffet restaurant in Royal Plaza on Scotts call Carousel. The food very nice, especially the desserts. UOB, HSBC, OCBC, DBS credit cards got 15% discount.

Then went home and cut cake. My brother is one person who cannot ask him to kuai kao zhang da, coz he is already 1.97 m liao. LoL.

Jan 19th 2008 is Jay Chou's World Tour Concert 2008 here in Singapore. Sales open to OCBC Credit Cards holders from 22nd Oct 2007. Sales open to public only from 4th or 5th Nov. Guess what happen when I went to buy tickets this afternoon? Today is only 24th Oct - 2 days from opening sales date, and the whole concert is almost fully sold out. All left single seats!!! Can you imagine? Its not even open to the public yet.

Painfully, I manage to secure a few Cat 4 tickets to watch with my colleagues. My colleagues also damn on. I was surfing cruzteng.com and I saw cruz's post on Jay Chou. So I just anyhow ask my colleagues, "Oei, want to go watch Jay Chou concert anot." 6 of them agreed to go with me. So I quickly sneaked out to Singapore Conference Hall at Shenton Way to buy the tickets. So surprise that the tickets sales is soooo good leh. Lucky i was able to get 7 tickets on the same row. But its quite far from the stage lah. T07 last row leh. Looks like got to look at the TV screen liao. LOL. Dunno who will be the special guest....

A few good news to share.

First good news is 26 years ago, a little baby boi was bornt in KK Hospital. That little baby boi has grown up to become what I am NOW! So happy birthday to ME!

Second good news is w.e.f. 19th Oct 2007 which is yesterday, I'm now a PERM staff of Mizuho Corporate Bank, Ltd. Singapore Branch.

Third good news is my new salary is finally more closer to what a degree holder should be bringing home.

Forth good news is my birthday is also PAYDAY! Together with my contract bonus! So nw i got a little bit more money to spend hahaa. Wondering what I should get for myself? Maybe a watch. My CASIO G-SHOCK has been over-worn until changed colour liao.


So how did I celebrate my bird-day? Nothing much actually. Friday nite invited 7 friends for dinner at sakura orchard. The food there so so only lah. But got a lot of people there. So a bit squeezy. Then went cuppage partyworld to k songs. Then home sweet home. They bought me a Braun Büffel wallet. Thank you very much. My current goldlion looks ko-yak already.

Then today, family and I went to amk to have crabby dinnner. The Melbben Crap got a lot queue, got to wait for 1hr plus for our seats and food. So we went opp. to Uncle Leong. Also not bad lah.

Then I went to Orchard to meet buddy for some catching up before she leaves for states again. She gave me a G2k tie. Thank alot buddy. i like it very much =)

Some updates regarding work. Recently, I just signed my new Appointment Letter. I have been converted from Contract to Perm staff. So I will be staying put in my current job for the time being until further notice bah.

Inline skating.... Hmm... Didnt go for any lesson last week. Think i better go today. Tomorrow will be the last day I can go for lesson. So fast one month over liao. So scary man. LoL!

What a week!!!

I so damn tired in office today. The whole day I just feel like sleeping. I guess the past week was too hectic for me. Let me briefly tell u why.

KTV at partyworld shenton way with my camp mates CK & gf, KT & wife. Reach home was around 2+ am i think.

Thu 4th Oct 2007 -
Went to arena@clarke quay with johnson and co. About 3+ 4 reach home. A little tipsy dipsy some more.

Fri 5th Oct 2007 -
Play mahjong at colleague house. Around 2+ reach home.

Sat 6th Oct 2007 -
Attended sec sch friend Michelle's Tay wedding. After that meet wx and davon and play number ball. 3+ reach home.

So from wed nite til sat nite. So damn tired. Last nite i wanted to play some game, also cant tahan, dozed off many time while playing. So went to sleep instead. Haha. But i think the sleep is still nt enough. Think tonite must sleep more!!!

Anyway yesterday evening met up with buddy ting and her daughter at suntec with her bro-in-law, sister and brother and nephew. With may as well.

Walk abit at suntec then had dinner at tian tian streamboat at bugis.

Evaluation and Level 2

Went to Bishan Park for my Level 1 Evaluation lesson. I was the only person, so the "teacher" go thru with me all the lessons from Level 1. I didnt do very well actually, but still he passed me. Phew...

Later in the afternoon, went back to Bishan Park for Level 2 lesson 1. Stride 2 and one foot balance. Stride 2 is like stride one, but with faster speed. That I pass with no problem. But the one foot balance, nt really easy, especially since I still nt very confident on skates. Think I need more practice outside lesson time.

Didnt go to skating lesson today. Went to World of Sports@Northpoint to grab a pair of skates. 90+ bucks. Quite reasonable.

Wanted to try out my new skates, so went my house downstairs the void deck skate skate a bit. Still nt very confident actually.

Later went out with family for dinner along havelock road.

80kg milestone achieved

Today after my gym session, I went to weight at the digital weighting machine. 79.9 kg. Hurray, another milestone for me. LOL. From an almost 100kg guy to a 80 kg. Almost 20kg gone, not bad lah hor.

Anyway I was 81, 82, 81, 82 for quite some time liao. This few days keep eating moon cakes. In fact I just ate one big slice of durian snowskin mooncake, and its 11:45pm now haha.

Hope I can maintain my weight like this lah. And maybe replace my flabby stomach with some 6-pack. but not so easy lah. Coz I like to eat leh. LOL!!!!

Anyway today is Mid-Autumn festival. Wishing all a happy mid-autumn!! Hope you all have enjoyed watching the moon, eating mooncakes, carrying lanterns, playing with candles and blah blah blah....... with your love ones tonight. Gdnite everyone.

good skating day ;)

This morning the rain just fell like nobody business. The lightning strike and strike and thunder whamp pham pham so loud. Wake me up from my beauty sleep.

I looked at the clock on the wall. Think its around 10++ a.m. Jialat, later i want to go bishan again leh. So hope the rain will stop soon. Luckily stop around 12pm then the bright hot sun came.

So off to bishan again. This time i decided to change to a smaller sized skate. size 10 only. Very nice skate. Look new. and i can better control myself with it.

But!!! ITS TOO SMALL. My poor fore-toes hurt like hell. My fore-toes are the longest part of my feet you see. Can guess what, I pass Lesson 3. Then next lesson is Lesson 4 which i can join immediately coz the next lesson slot is for lesson 4. So I went again.

Lesson 4 is Scooter and Swizzle. Hmm dunno how to explain what they are. Anyway, in the middle of the lesson, i cannot take the pain man! I went to change my skates during the 5min water break. Phew.. Its so much better.

Then guess what? I pass lesson 4 also. Next lesson is evaluation for Level 2.

But I got no time liao, and also tired, and also got 2 sore toes. So I went home. Next lesson then do evaluation bah.

I also thinking of getting a pair of skates myself. Those rental skates are damn lousy. Especially for big sized ones. Get those not so ex one. Maybe 100++ one will do. Maybe next week go world of sports see see look look.

Then after a quick shower after reaching home, I went to my colleague's wedding at Pine Court restaurant at Meritus Mandarin. The food not bad leh. I was quite full after the dinner. Surprising right since wedding dinner normal requires some summer coz most of the time not enough one.

But i think the restaurant, per table should be quite ex. Quite posh looking and its on 35 floor (top floor)

Bad skating day

After 5 days w/o skating, my skating basic skills became rusty again. So today didnt really skate well. Then I wore a lousy pair of skates, then got a not so good instructor.

Think I'm tired also lah.

Anyway today was Lesson 3 - A-Frame turn. Got to skate and roll then open up the legs and turn. Not very difficult, but my legs just didnt listen.

Anyway I need more practice lah, so try again tomorrow lor.

Inline skating - Level 1

Inline skating at skateline got a few levels. After finishing the intro lesson yesterday, today I proceed with Level 1.

Level 1 got 4 lessons. Today I manage to pass 2 lessons. Stride 1 and heel stop. Stride 1 is the most basic striding. Stride left and right moving forward lor.

Then heel stop is using the heel brake at the back of the right skate to stop. To use the brake, got to point the right skate upwards.

Starting to get the hang of the balancing and the leaning forward. But still need lot more practise. The next weekend i will be moving on to lesson 3.

Inline skating for the first time

I have never really did inline skating, or rollerbladding before. Actually, I did rent some skates before at ecp, but I gave them up and exchange for a bicycle instead. Coz its not really so easy that you can just go and skate just like that.

This afternoon, looking at the sunny weather, I made up my mind. Got company or not, i will just go ahead. So I went to Bishan Park II Skateline to take up skate lessons. The man at the counter reco me to take up the skate-all-you-can (weekend) which allows me to go for as many Weekend lessons as I like for a period of 1 mth. Cost me around 95.34 (inclu. GST). I think its quite affordable lah.

First lesson was no problem at all. Its a intro lesson to inline skating. Basically, I was taught how to get up and fall down. Then some simple v-walk and then roll. Roll meaning moving forward with the skates parallel to each other forming a eleven. After the lesson, my whole shirt is full of sweat man. i reckon this inline skating is really quite a good sport. And many small little kids are learning as well. The class size is variable. Sometimes, there alot, sometimes just a few. Today, there's only 4 of us.

Today is my friend, Davon birthday. Went to Suki Sushi@cineleisure to have dinner then went next door Kbox to K. Kbox now damn ex leh. 24 per pax + the snacks. then only can sing for 3 hours. I think partyworld better leh. Anyway, after the ktv, still early so we went grandlink to go poke some number balls before we head home. Reach home very early. Around 4+ 5am. haha.

Inline skating anyone

I think of going for a beginner lesson in inline skating at bishan park.
Just 20 bucks only on sat or sun around 3pm. Anyone wants to go also anot? Tell me ah. Maybe next weekend?

Nowadays, the time pass so fast like nobody business like tat. U tot it was just Monday yesterday, but today is Friday liao, this kind of feeling.

And today is Saturday. Just laze around abit, oops its monday again.

2 1st times with 881

First 1st time, I watched a local production movie in cinema.

Second 1st time, I brought my mum to cinema to watch movie.

881 was quite nice. funny also haaha. And the songs are very nice also. No wonder so many people watched liao also say nice nice.

And the xiao mu gua mindee ong quite chio leh. but a bit thin lah haha.

Weekend so fast over leh. Today went swimming with my brother at safra yishun, then went to play basketball at ngee ann poly with johnson and co. Wah, nw backache leh. and just nw raining when we were playing halfway, we stopped and waited for the rain to stop and play again. then i fell and landed on my left butt. damn painful leh. wah cow.

time to get back to work liao tmr. hope tmr nt so blue ah....

Vexed

Recently very vexed. Over work mainly. My contract ending soon you see. In late oct. My boss interviewed me, telling me my performance was good, will consider converting me to perm and offer me a good package.

Sounds not bad right.

But the problem is one part of me is asking me to leave. That part of me is very realistic one. That part thinks that the bank paying me too low. Then prospect also so so only. Benefits lousy (if remain as contract lah)

But hor, the other part of me is asking me to stay. This part is more reserved and conservative. This part thinks that since now I involved in a project in which upon completion will look good in the CV one. Some Forex/Money Market ticketing project meant for oversea and local branch. Somemore, this part thinks that I might get a good package + a possible conversion.

But the 1st part of me still thinks its time to move on.

This part and that part keep fighting this few weeks. Very tiring. Plus got 2 friends want to reco me to their co. to work. Asking me to send my CV to them. I haven send yet. Still haven update my CV yet. Having lots of 2nd, 3rd, 4th tots...

How, how. Today is 1st Sep. What should I do?

pat, bel & max

Met up with pat, bel & max at bel's place on monday nite before they flew back to uk. Max became bigger liao, and dun really recognise his nanny (me) liao, so sad. haha. But it really nice to see pat & bel again after so long. Their stay in sg was quite a short one, so next time hope they can stay longer abit for a longer get-together session.

Looking fwd to see them in sg again. That nite on the way home, shuhui suggested going over to uk to vist them. Hope we can really do that. Maybe next year? see hw lah. nw no money leh.

Zouk

Yesterday, had a dinner buffet at Carlton Hotel. 30++ per pax. Different from other buffets, this one serves durian desserts and fresh durians!! Yes! Got a outdoor corner where fresh durians are served. The desserts are "power" also, especially the durian mousse cake and the durian pudding. There really durian flesh in them. Like those D24 durian cakes. And you can have unlimited servings!!!! WOW!! hehe

Next, I went to zouk with Johnson and the usual gang. There is one room that plays rnb. Seriously, if Im there with my gf, I wouldn't want her to go in there. The number of people in that room is crazy hell of alot. 90% you will be physically in contact with another person. Those girls, are there to let people take advantage you know. I went in once and I made up my mind I wont want to go in again. But the other bigger room, the so called zouk, that plays trance and house music is better. Much bigger compared to the rnb room. Anyway, last nite was 1st time i been to zouk. Nothing much actually. I think st. james will be much better. Those crazy dancing is not for me liao. Old liao I think. I prefer sitting down, chilling out and listening to live band, singing along. Much more relaxing this way.

KL Trip 3rd to 5th Aug

Just came back from KL last night. Went there primarily to shop, as well to have fun also lah.

So what did we do?

3rd Aug Friday
Suppose to meet at woodlands customs at 7.30am. But some people were late lor. So the earliest among us (Rebbecca & Phyllis) waited for us until almost crazy liao haha. Sorry ah. We almost couldn't make it to our flight from Senai airport. Lucky the taxi drivers drove fast and the air asia lady was kind enough to still let us check-in. She warned us though - to come earlier next time. The flight to KL LCCT was quite fast. Seems like we just ascended and the next moment the plane started descending liao. From LCCT, we got a some sort of van to my dad's place. Think we kena chopped, coz the the trip sure didnt worth the price we paying. Nevertheless, we arrived at my dad's place, dropped our bulky stuff and headed for 1 utama. The driver didnt know the way. I just roughly guided the driver but I wasn't sure of the direction myself. Luckily, I didn't bring us on a wild goose chase, we managed to reach 1 utama. We had lunch 1st, then ladies walk walk their things, we guys walk ours. Then we took taxi to sungei wang. Walk walk again. Then went for foot massage with Keith and Rebbecca. The guy who massage for me use his "gu lark" (cow strength) on my feet. Still toleratable lah. But got a few places damn pain. haha. We had dinner at Oversea. Then back to my dad place.


4th Aug Sat
Ring ring!! Alarm rang at 7.30am. Dunno why we chose to wake up so early on a sat morning. Anyway, we suppose to yum cha at sungei wang restaurant. But LOL, when we reached there, too early liao. haven open yet. So we settled for a nearby cafe restaurant. Food there also not bad. The noodle nice. Dunno about the porridge. Anyway we walk walk at Lot 10 for a while. then we went mid valley. walk walk. we had lunch separately. Lawrence and I had viet food. Nice. My dad asked us to go back for dinner, so we met around 5pm++ and make our way back. My dad made chicken brani rice. Yum yum. Love the raisins in the rice. Rest of the day, we helped to clean up the kitchen, relax and rest our feet abit. Walk too much liao I think. We play mahjong, eat donuts, play psp for the rest of the night. We got a surprise cake slice for Sheue Lih. Belated "bird day" celebration mah. Dunno why the cake keep falling flat on the plate haha.

5th Aug Sun
Woke up late into the morning. Guess after last night, everyone's tired. Had breakfast at home. Then I call cab to bring us to Sunway shopping mall. walk walk again. "Ta bao" some bread, donuts. Had lunch at A&W. Love the curly fries and root beer float. Too bad sg no more A&W liao. Then cab back home to pack our stuff. Took quite a bit of fotos with my dad, house and us. Then off to the take the coach back to sg. We took the Transtar deluxe coach. Got "bus-stewardess", multi-channel movies, massage chair, spacious seats. Not bad leh.. Not ex also.

Back from Tioman

Hi guys, I'm back from tioman. Scuba diving in open water is very fun man minus the salty sea water lah.

Saw many beautiful fishes and corals underneath. But diving really not easy. Got to plan properly, then be physically and mentally prepared. and its tiring also, especially when the water current is strong.

I guess I will try to go again end of the year or early next year, depending on budget. Not much photos to show coz i didnt bring camera, buy my bro and I did snapped a few with our hp.

Time to rest man, head seems like still spinning, like still on the boat. lol

Scuba diving countdown.....

Just now just had my scuba diving theory test. 50 mcqs, 40 to pass. Hope I pass leh..

So excited man, this wednesday another pool session then friday night off to tioman liao. Really looking forward to it!!!!

Actually doing the open water cert is one of my wishes this recent years, always couldnt find people to go with, or time doesn't allow me to proceed. Finally, I going to dive in open water.

Although scuba diving has it reasonable amount of risks involved, I reckon if I don't go down and see our dear underwater friends soon, they will be gone in the next 10-20 years to come.

farewell date

last nite went on a farewell date with her. haha actually its just farewell dinner and desserts lah.

try on my contact lens yesterday also, coz i just collected it on thursday nite. So everyone was asking me where i going yesterday nite. I jokingly say I going on a hot date haha...

we ate at central and went to somewhere along clarke quay for cake and coffee.

Felt very comfortable going out with her, but my lousy flaws showed up as usual. She complained she the one toking all the time, say how come i nvr contribute one haha, say how i find girlfriend like tat.

i told her im like tat one lor. hhaha... Anyway although, i enjoy her company, still as friends we will remain.

coz.... last mon or tuesday, i was at amoy street hawker center 2nd floor eating lor kuay teow from the vegetarian stall, the stupid cavin soh and bryan wong sat beside me and interview me and a few of my colleagues.

Actually we were sitting at a table for six. We got 5 people. Only left one vacant seat, maybe they wont sit down. One of my colleague saw they interviewing the vegetarian stall, faster change seat and sat with another group of colleagues from another table. So got 2 vacant seat liao. 4 of us, 3 of us eating from the vegetarian stall leh. of coz they will come n interview us lah. Somemore we were just sitting next to the stall and got 2 seats for them to sit down.

So... you might see me on channel 8. That cavin did something TO ME!!! dun luff if they nvr cut that portion ah. IF NOT I KILL U!!!! LOL.

ok lah... thats all.

P.S. buay tahan that bryan wong, really like a sissy man. keep taking the stupid fake police baton to hit calvin.

cough until very jialat

past few days keep coughing, especially at night. couldn't really sleep properly. I been taking cough mixture, but like no use leh.

just nw keep coughing during the harry porter movie with may. hope i didnt disturb her too much with my coughing. couldn't help it. throat really very itchy inside. In fact, at this point of time, i still coughing.

damn sianz. i hope the cough will go away soon.

harry porter: the order of the phoenix was not bad. Less focus on magic, more on story line this time. but the magic fight in the end was quite exciting. Looking forward to the next movie, which i think is the finale. I heard in the last part some of the characters incl. the main will die. wonder who will die. harry? dombledoll?

Today is Sunday

Its' sunday again. tmr got to go back to work again. hurray! cant play my online game liao, hurray!

Damn sian man. Anyway, i couldn't get anyone to go diving, so i jio my brother go. he say ok so set lah.

oh yeah, last fri went to arena@clarke quay again, this time with my colleague. The band is good, although I think they somehow always play the same songs. hhehe. but one big difference is that its smoke free. So smoking allowed in pubs liao. troublesome for smokers but good for non-smokers.

If u even think of stepping into those smoking rooms set aside for smokers. I think u should think otherwise. My friend told me, once step inside, you start crying and I think you will die faster also.

someone's leaving, together with a piece of my heart.....

I dunno why, I didnt feel anything last sat during Shirley's wedding. She kissed her husband and all that stuff. I cool with all that. As I said in yesterday's post, there only just some regrets. Nothing more.

But, but. Today my dear colleague, a sweet Malaysian girl, who joined the bank last Aug, told me, she not renewing her contract when it is due end of this month. At that moment, I really feel very sad. My heart was beating very hard. Almost got some tears in my eyes.

Working in the office is really sian you know, all thanks to her, working is at least toleratable. Coz we always make funny faces together, lunch together. gossip together. She really the "happy fruit" which can make my day in office anytime.

Now, she is leaving, I really feel sad. I told her that also. Told her I will miss her. She also say "dun miss me too much ah" She is joking of coz. She has a bf liao. Im just a "fun" colleague to her.

But I meant what I said actually. I really think I will miss her. Quite badly also i think.

I think I have some feel for her but.... i cant tell her. Although this had crossed my mind before. But i know where this is heading. I will be always just a colleague to her.

But what surprised me was my own reaction to this piece of news. I didnt know her departure can actually leave my heart broken.

I didnt do much in office today. I was too affected by this. I not good at hiding sad facial expressions. Hope I didnt make it look too obvious.

1st July

Today is 1st July. What a great day! GST up by 2%. Not as high as other countries like Australia, UK or US. But at least the wages in those countries are higher, hence matching the high GST. But here, everything is going up, except for the wages.

The only people who are getting richer at those at Temasek!

Yesterday, attended Shirley's wedding. She looked really pretty in her wedding dress. Well, i do have some regrets. But I am glad that she found someone that she can count on, someone who can handle her temper, someone who she is willing to share her life with. Congrats to her and her husband Alfred.

I can only look at myself and wonder, for 26 years, what have I achieved?

Yesterday, what did I do? What am I doing today? What will I be doing tomorrow? Answer: No idea.

In-line skating anyone?

Yesterday went to ECP to cycle with my ex-uni mates. I think cycling there is much better compared to cycling in Sentosa. As least got more places to cycle. Then i see many people in-line skating or rolablading. Like very fun like tat leh. Wish I could blade also.

Is there anyone who can teach me, or interesting to learn as well?

Wanted to go for Open Water Diving course also.

st james powerhouse

last night, went to st james powerhouse with my ex-campmates. a building by itself, $20 dollars cover-charge (for guys), not too bad lah. Lot of live band pubs all in one building. Went to one popular one call dragonfly, famous for its canto pop. Really too many people liao. So we just sat around for a couple of drinks then went off liao.

Went to partyworld at oriental plaza. Sing song until around 3am. Then home sweet home. Didn't spend much last night, which is good, coz I no money liao. Broke already. Can't wait for pay day next week.

Some updates

I reached 85kg offically today. Offically is because even after dinner, I'm 85. Boy, am I glad. I now in the Healthy Weight category with BMI 24. Ideal BMI is from 20 to 25, so I'm still a bit close to the borderline. So I set 2 more milestones to move closer to BMI 20. Two more milestones: 80kg and 75kg.

Actually, I not really working out a lot. Just regularly, twice a week. I guess is because I eat less rice and took some fat loss supplement. Hehe. Quite effective I must say.

Anyway, I got my medical review results. I now downgraded to Pes C2L1 temporary for 12 mths starting 04 Jun 2007. Yeah! No need to take IPPT/RT for 1 year!!!! But only 1 year lah. I doubt I will get a perm downgrade anyway. So got to continue to work on strengthening my upper leg and thigh muscle so that less stress will be on the knee.

Hopefully by then, my knee will be ready for the Standing broad jump station.

Shitty Friday

Yesterday, suppose to meet wx and gang for dinner, some shopping and then st. james. wx was late as usual. But one particular guy turn up who completely spoil my evening. I didnt know wx asked him along. And i really dunno why he ask him. The whole gang knows jolly well that johnson & I were on bad terms with him. js didnt come, so good for him. but i was there. We had dinner at aust outback at m. walk. i could hardly enjoy my dinner. when i get work up, my heart beats faster and my gastric juice will fill the stomach. So i dun feel good seriously.

So i decided to go home instead. So no shopping since already so late. and so no st. james. just home sweet home. unwillingly of coz. never been to st.james, so wanted to see how it's like.

then just nw kelvin told me last nite he heard mr D saying that its js and I being petty. So without any doubts, its still the same old mr D. never ever going to think that he is wrong. So he backstabbing us. this wx also one kind of person, purposely want to "use rocks to touch the nails" and "light a torch in a gas field".

KL, Genting Family trip.

Went up to KL to my dad's place and genting as well since Vesak day til last night. The trip was quite fun. For the 1st time, almost the whole family from my dad's side went for holiday together. About 18 or 19 of us. We chartered a bus from Golden Mile which brought us directly to my dad's house. We spend most of the time in my dad's place when we were in KL. But we did visit a few places, namely, the Batu Caves, Sultan's Palace, Royal Selangor factory, etc.

3 quarter of the gang went home on Sunday, while the rest of us went up to Genting Highlands. I didnt gamble much coz I never seem to have the luck. But the weather was much cooler compare to the terrible hot weather in KL.

i am j2ee-capable liao..

Today I received my exam results and my cert in a A4 envelope from the letter box. Since, I got my cert as well, means I pass lah. The only grade stated was the exam grade, so I assumed that is the overall grade lah. I got an "A"!!! So happy. Thanks for all the good lucks and wishes. hehe. and thank you "ah new" for "popi-ing" me during the exam.

So one item strike off my wish list. Actually I striked off 2. The 2nd was passing rt at phase 2. Currently I on excuse RT + temp downgrade 1 year. So that wish is no longer required haha.

I'm quite close to my 3rd wish though. Getting my weight at 85kg. I weighted myself just nw, and its about 86.5kg. 85kg is the ideal weight for my 1.88m height u see.

Couldnt believe I was almost 100kg before I joined califoria fitness. Glad I joined. If not, I wouldnt have make it. I would have become like moses lim, haha.

About the other wishes on my wishlist. Buying a bag, finding a new job, and finding a gf. hmmm.... see hw lor.. maybe I should start finding a new job. maybe a j2ee job?

end of j2ee course, i hope

Yesterday was the demo of the final part of my j2ee project. I wasn't really happy actually. I have 4 other team mates, but it seems there only 2 other. The china ger "larky" best, never turn up for project discussion, never turn up for the demo even. Ask her to go and bang the wall lah. I simply hate this kind of people. Take the whole thing for granted. J2EE or rather, programming, wasn't even close to what she is doing now. Why did she take the course for? Because Singtel is so rich to sponsor her 100% or she just "baa long long" drag herself thru can already. Damn piss me off.

On the other hand, one team mate was away in China, one just switched job so busy like hell, one was busy at work but he did tried to help. But, but. I wasn't very "free" myself you know. Doing .NET during the day and then java in the night wasn't really a good way to pass the time seriously.

Anyway, I am angry with myself also lah. I spend a lot of time trying to get the EJB to work with hibernate, but in the end, still can't work although i put in so much effort. The lecturer told me we were heading the wrong way in the first place. So in the end who to blame?

Part 1, we got 81/100. Part 2, we got 88/100. So part 3? The exam?

Part 1 + Part 2 + Part 3 = 40%
Exam = 60%

We got quite high marks for our Part 1 & 2. So now i can only hope that part 3 will not pull down our marks too much. And there is the exam also. Yesterday the lecturer told us that our batch is very different from the previous batches in terms of the exam marks. Normal the "graph" is a bell curve, meaning most people get average marks, a few bad marks, and a few good marks. But this time, it a inverted bell curve. Meaning we either fall in the bad marks category, or the good marks category. There is no significant average marks.

Although, I feel quite confident that I should more likely to be in the better marks category. But nothing is confirmed until the results is out, which is something like 1 to 2 weeks from now. Cross my fingers that my grades will be ok. If I were to get just get a passing grade then I think I just wasted my time & money. So please give me a high average grade. Please please.

Last wednesday, i guess some of you did wish me some good lucks. the exam was quite ok. i think i should be able to do ok. nw left the project part 3. a bit sian leh. after exam liao still got to do project haizz.. anyway due date is 18th may. very soon leh jialat.

Anyway last sunday went to sentosa to cycle with a few sec school friends, minghan, sheue lih, may, sook, phyllis and rebecca. i didn't put on any sun block and that day was a really sunny sunday. So my face and arms got burned like red char siew. my colleagues see liao, also luff. say i look like red face man. haha

hope the redness go away soon. anyway, i dun like to put on sunblock one. but i think next time, i should try to put a bit. hehe

Happy Labour Day!!!

Wow wow, it's first of May 2007. Time really flies man! A third of the year gone just like that. Today is Labour day, suppose to be a holiday for people who are working. People like me. But sian man, I got to study.

No mood to study leh. I never like studying for exams anyway. So back to the same question again. Why do we have to take exams??????

Anyway tomorrow evening is the exam, and I am on leave the whole day tomorrow. However tomorrow is judgement day at work because the system rollout yesterday was meant for tomorrow. Some major things happening. Hope nothing cocks up coz I don't want to go back to office, and I simply don't want anybody from office to call me when I am in the exam hall!!!

So ah niu po pi, tomorrow shun shun li li (goddess of mercy bless me, tomorrow everything goes smoothly)

watch this movie last week with one of my colleague. Very funny and nice movie. The lead actress Kim Ah-joong (김아중) is very cute also. Not so famous yet, but i guess she will be soon. =)

time to study

My J2ee exam is next wednesday, the day after labour day. Its a open book exam. Dunno hw to study leh. Sianzz. One of my lecturer said its actually quite hard to fail. I seriously hope so.

Studying and working at the same time is no joke man. I got to think twice, thrice, or more about studying again. Previously I was thinking of doing Masters. But I think I have to study full time man. Night classes are killers. Half time time, I was dozing on and off, like a half-zombie like that.

It was a rather hectic week for me this week. Apart from my last J2ee lesson on Monday, I stayed in office until 9+ 10pm from Tuesday to Friday.

Got to rush to complete a system in which I think is rather useless. The users thought so too. But my stupid boss wants it. What to do. Got to rollout on Monday. Actual live data will come in on Wednesday night, the night of my exam. So what mood should I bring in to the exam hall on Wed?

Last thurs, i got bluffed into getting a hotel travel membership that costs quite a bit of money. I dunno should I be feeling good or bad with this membership. Thinking of it really makes me very vexed.

Good if I want to travel alot. But when I travel, i often followed travel groups like Chan Brothers. So.... Oh well, anyway, I was given a few freebies, one of which is a invitation to a studio photoshoot worth $588.00. And guess what, its also about some membership thing. Sign up for membership, get more people in, they rebate you. Then each year got a few free photoshoots, makeover and stuff. I decided to stand firm this time. So I got away with 2 free photos.

Think I should start avoiding all this stupid invitations. They are no free things in this world.

Dancing Diva

My cousin and I went to see Jolin's Dancing Diva Concert last nite at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. We bought the 135.20 tickets and the concert really make the tickets worthwhile. Her singing is good and her dancing is really hot. The only thing is that she dunno how to "tie dong" the audiences, but her performance alone is good enough. I took a few photos, but sorry ah, not very clear coz my camera is lousy, my camera skills sucks, and I'm half dancing half taking photos. So dun mind huh.
