ECP Picnic & Friday the 13th

Today Kai Ling & I went to ECP for picnic with my uni friends. Been sometime since I met up with them. Rachel & I were in charge of bringing food. Cynthia brought drinks and Sihao, games.

Joan, Rachel's sister and her bf also joined. She brought along an apple studel. I brought chicken nuggets, hashbrowns and fishballs. Rachel brought alot more like ckn wings, hot dogs, luncheon meat, cheese, bread and etc.

We had a great time, eating, chatting and playing. Haha...

After that, Kai Ling & I left earlier coz we were going to catch a movie at GV marina.

We watched a bloodly movie called Friday the 13th. Quite freaky at some parts with heads being chopped off and blood everywhere. Quite ok the show, but after the show, I just cant help wondering what does the show got to do with the movie title? In the movie, they never mention anything about Friday the 13th wor.

After the movie, we went to Marina Barrage. Kai Ling been there before but I nvr mah. So we went there to walk walk abit and spent the rest of the night together looking at the stars, the scenery and enjoying the breeze.

17 Again

Today went to Kai Ling's 阿姨's house to visit her 外婆. After tat, we went to Vivocity GV to watch 17 Again. We watched in the super big cinema aka GV Max. First time, i watched in such a big cinema leh. Abit sua koo lah me. The movie screen is huge leh. Think its a good way to watch movie lah. Big screen and nice seats. Think vivo GV is the best GV cinema you can find liao.

17 again is quite an entertaining show. Quite funny at times also. Worth watching.

So fast weekend over liao. So sianzz.. LOL

Crab feast

Kai Ling's mother won some money from 4D!!! So we went to Defu Lane to eat crab together with Kai Ling's parents and her sibings and their partners. Kai Ling said the Defu Lane crab is better than the one at AMK Melborn crab but its been sometime since I ate at Melborn crab, so I couldn't really gauge which is nicer.

But the crab and food at Defu Lane is quite nice. The name of the restaurant Seafood Paradise. We had butter crab and chilly crab. I think the chilly crab is better though mainly becoz the way of cooking is different. Butter crab streamed first then cook with the butter gravy i think, while the chilly crab is stir-fried with the chilly gravy which make the crab meat sweeter?? Maybe lah hor.

JPMorgan Chase

Just now after work, my colleagues and I participated in the yearly JP Morgan Chase corporate run. The run was about 5.6km and this year the changed the route. In the previous years, the start and end point was in the padang and esplanade area.

This year the run started at esplanade drive and ended at the Formula One pit area. The route this year not so good. A lot of bottlenecks at small corners and we had to end up walking which was quite frustrating, especially for those who were running.

I finished the run in about 40+ mins I think. Ya, LOL, slow I know.

The worse thing is about collecting the goody bag after the run. Previous years, straight after the run, we would queue up on the fields at the padang area to collect the goody bags at the respective counters set up over there. This year, they placed the goody bag collection on the 2nd floor of the F1 building which was rather stupid. In the end, we had to squeeze and queue up for a hour or so just to get our goody bags. Very lousy planning.

A lot of queuing this year. Even depositing personal bags also need to queue. Take goody bag queue. Collect back our personal bags also queue. Queue queue queue, so very waste of time leh. Haa..

2nd monastry

Today is our 2nd month together. Happy 2nd Monthsary dear!!!! Hope we have many many many more months and years together. Til old and ripe age !!!!!!

2nd months not long but not short either. Thanks for everything you have done for me dear. Love you.

Tampines One

Today, dear & I went to the new shopping mall at Tampines called Tampines One. We went there around 3+ I think. Inside there like crazy house like that. So many people I tell you. They even need to put people on station to do crowd control at the escalators.

Nothing fantastic actually. The shops inside are shops you can find anywhere else except for one store which need to queue up and go in batch by batch. We were told the average waiting time is about 40mins. Crazy leh. Its the new store which is a leading retail chain from Japan, called Uniqlo. Think wait until the craze is over first before attempting to go again.

Met Johnson and Edina for dinner at Tampines Mall Ajisen before going for our movies at GV Tampines. Handsome suit was the show we four watched. Supposed to be quite a funny show after hearing some reviews from friends. But the movie turns out to be a normal show only. There was a crazy lady sitting in the front row who laughed from starting to ending non-stop. And she can laugh at things that are not funny also. So I was quite confused when I laugh during the show. Was I laughing at the lady or becoz of the movie?? Dunno also. Somemore her laughter is not the normal laughter. Is those loud and high pitch one in which the whole cinema can hear lor. Maybe the cinema beside even... Wahaha.. Crazy woman.....

Iluma

TGTIGF!!!! Which is short form for Thank God Today Is Good Friday. LOL!!!

Today dear came to my place to have lunch then later we went to the new shopping mall opposite Bugis Junction and beside Bugis street to walk walk and watch movie. This new shopping mall is call Iluma (pronoun as ee-lu-ma). Quite big and there still many shops not opened or not taken up yet. In case you dunno which shopping mall this is, it is the building with many funny white boxes outside with light bulbs inside. Then at night, big gigantic words will be formed with the many many white boxes moving left and right. Quite interesting concept. Suppose to be quite futuristic.

The cinema is not GV, Cathay, Eng Hwa or Shaw. Its called Filmgarde. Now it operating at this new Iluma shopping mall and the other at Kallang Leisureplex. Then we only paid $6 dollar for the ticket even though its a PH today because Filmgarde was having a promotion for 2 weeks ending today. I didn't know also, until my colleague told me a few days ago. So we quickly went online to book. Haa.. Good deal right.

Normal days, the ticket will cost the same and somemore no promotions from any credit cards yet. So maybe not so worth going on weekends and PHs.

Anyway we watched Shinjuku. Only so-so I find. The first Jackie Chan movie in which he never fight with his kungfu but use knife to slash at people only. And get beaten up instead of the other way around.

Fast & Furious 4

Last night, went to watch Fast & Furious 4 with dear at GV Yishun. Been quite some time since I last went there to watch, the seats and cinema really cannot make it. We chose there mainly because I sent my dad's car for polishing at the car grooming shop at Northpoint basement carpark and we also watched a rather late show. 11.10pm show, so after the show, can send dear home directly.

The show was not bad, especially if you like action and fast cars. On the whole, the show was quite entertaining.
