Sentosa!!!

I got one more annual leave to clear for FY 2008, so Kai Ling & I took leave and went to Sentosa today.

We drove to Imbiah Lookout and bought the Choice Package which includes admissions to 3 experience attractions and 1 adventure attraction. We chose Images Of Singapore, The Merlion and the Tiger Sky Tower for the 3 experience attractions and Luge & Skyride for the adventure attraction. We also bought the tickets for the Song of the Sea

The Images Of Singapore is like a museum like that talking about Sir Stanford Raffles and all the way to current day. The Merlion is simply a waste of money. A short animated clip of Sang Nila Utama story then take a lift up to the top. See the view from the head, thats all. So stupid. LOL. The Tiger Sky Tower still ok lah, but nothing much also. Just go up and then down. I think Singapore Flyer offers a much better view lor.

I think what we enjoyed most is the Luge I guessed. Not the first time for me and still I find it kinda short to fully enjoy the ride.

Actually wanted to take the skyride up back after the luge but it was raining and the ride stopped. So we went to Underwater world instead. Been years since I last went there. Haa.. And there is free admission to Dolphin lagoon also so we went there after we left Underwater world. Before the dolphin show, we had a quick lunch outside the lagoon. Very hungry sia. And lucky my egg mayo sandwich was edible and quite yummy also. First time I made that. Haa.. and there is ham and cheese sandwich and some Japanese seaweed chicken also. The dolphin show was so so only, but still quite entertaining lah.

Last but not least, the song of the sea which was supposed to replace the musical fountains. But I find so so only also... Worth seeing once only haaa....

Its was a tiring day for us but we have lots of fun together. Hee...

Prawning

Initially wanted to prawn at Bishan with Kailing after our movie at J8 on last Saturday. We watched Hotel for dogs. Quite a nice show. The dogs are sooo cute leh. Dog lovers sure love the show. I like dogs too. haa.. But but.. alas, after the show, dogs and cats are falling again. Twice in a row, the rain forced us to execute our wet weather program. The other time was the zoo outing the sunday 2 weeks ago. So we sat at coffee bean for some drinks and cake before heading back to Jurong. disappointing leh.... come all the way but cant prawn. Didnt want dear to be disappointed, I suggested prawning at Jurong the next day if weather is good.

Fortunately for us, yesterday's weather was great. We went prawning at a pond near Jurong Bird Park there. Dear was quite good for a first timer. We caught a total of 14 prawns in 3 hours (not too bad lah). Most of the prawns were caught by her. Heee.. My job mainly is to put the bait and unhook the prawns. LOL. Phyllis and Jimmy was there also. They caught more than us I think. Haha.. Prawning is fun leh... But these prawns not much meat one. Got big heads but small body. And we normal people only eat the body only. There are others who like to suck the brain juice out of the heads lah!!

One month

Our 1st month today. She went to her malay friend wedding in the late morning. our initial plan was to go to mandai zoo after that. But the whole island sky was covered with dark clouds. So we went to her house to watch some shows instead.

Just like we expected, heavy rain fell. So heavy in the Jurong East area until some trees were uprooted and a car was actually hit by a fallen roof from a hdb block opposite us.

Our wet weather program is watch movie at vivocity. Then we went up the sky garden and spend the rest of the evening there.

After waiting for a week or so, the results are finally out.


Overall, im in the 1672 position out of 2600++ cyclists. Not too bad lah hor..


In my age group, im in the 158 place out of 302 cyclists. My 2nd half the ride, I seems to have cycled faster. haa.. First half I tink becoz I rest a while at the "pit stop", so that explains the difference.

Ok next year I aim to finish in 1hr 30 mins. heee...

Halo Bar

Saw this beautiful rainbow when we were at vivocity sky garden. Very nice isnt it. I took it with my omnia in panorama mode. If you look carefully, you can actually see the whole rainbow. The left side of the rainbow abit faded liao.



The same night we went Halo bar. Its located in the middle between Ngee Ann Poly and SIM. Met dear's sisters and their boyfriends there for some drinks and pool.
