My new samsung mobile phone

2+ months ago, I went to the Singtel booth at the PC Show 2008. Wanted to buy the HTC Touch Diamond, but Singtel refused to let me buy with the offer price because I had 2 mths to go for my mobile phone contract.

Last Thursday, I went to the COMEX 2008, and finally I got my new phone. Not HTC Touch Diamond though. It's Samsung's Omnia. I never bought a non-nokia phone before. This is the first time.

After using for a few days, find that it's great. It's like taking a PC and putting it in your pocket. Haaa. $548.00, that is the price i paid. With 2 years contract.

The specs of the phone is great:
- 16 GB of disk space
- 5 megapixel camera
- Windows Mobile 6.1
- Wifi
- GPS
- Many more lah..

If you compare Omnia with Apple's i-phone, well, the only thing about i-phone is its cool, but in terms of functionalities, Omnia beat i-phone all hands and legs down.

good about i-phone
- i-pod with i-tunes inbuilt
- looks cool

bad about i-phone:
- no bluetooth to other devices except i-phone headset
- no message forwarding
- 2 megapixel camera with no video recording capability
- disk space limited with no expansion slots
- no radio

so i think its not worth the price lah. but its cool lah. apple mah. but to me, its like i-pod touch with phone capability lor.

guitar lesson tougher

today guitar lesson getting tougher liao. Got to practise changing chords. wah, a big challenge leh. hope i can put this off. but hor, dun think i can get to practise much coz this sunday to next wed, i be in KL with my mum and auntie. Go up to stay at my dad's place, also to clean up the house abit. Gng up to Genting for one night also.

Today, we had a sec school gathering at bel's place. Quite fun lah, met up with many ex-sec school mates, some whom I never seen for quite some time, like Chun man, Raymond, Andrew, Kelvin and Bel & little Max of coz!!! and little Cherilyn too Heee.

We had a potluck bbq. Think we brought too much food, or we ate too little. There was still lots of food left over.

Most of the time I was at the bbq pit lah. Never really get to tok to everyone. But ok lah, its quite fun lah. haaa... Hope we dun have to wait for a few years again to meet up. hahaha.... really glad that we can still stay in contact after so many years. Some of the people, wow, from sec 1 1994 to now 2008. 14 years? wow..

Anyway that Mr D C also went. Those who know him should know who lah. We never talk as usual. Then I was at the pits most of the time. Anyway, I was thinking of maybe saying "Hi" or "Bye" or something. But well, never mind lah. Its doesnt matter anyway. He is like a stranger in our party haha... to me lah.

Anyway, Wanfen wedding, Peicong's son birthday, Wenxing and company's dinner, and today bbq, still the same lah. haaaa.. but only difference this time i dun feel "gao wei" (not at ease in hokkien) when i see him.

do u think i should go match making anot. PM says leh. Now people got no time, narrow circle of friends, career-minded. No time to go find love leh. So let people find love for you lor.

Narrow circle of friends is true for me. I not very socialable one. then friends all bz with their lives or making more lives or taking care of new lives so where got time for me. Most of the time i hang out with my best friend johnson lah. but he himself damn bz with work liao lor. so when i meet him, he also with his gf lor. then got his brother and the brother gf also.

so im like the odd one out lor. haa.. sometimes abit sian, but bo bian. all attached where got girl let me like?

who ask me no girl like. like girl but no gut like. no looks look for looks. no girl eye kena stamp like.

then hor... no ICT call up so far leh, need to take my IPPT before my birthday leh. so sian leh. think got to go khatib camp be a horse like tat run around the stadium with a computerised tag liao.

then hor, my blading still sucks leh. so demoralising leh. dunno izzit problem with my right leg or wad. just cannot go faster lor. then backache like hell. my friend say becoz my posture wrong. should bend knees not bend back when blading.

then tok about some health issue thingy. me gng to see nose specialist next mth. my nose 95% of the time like block like tat. so i went to yishun polyclinic last sat. wait there for almost 3 hrs before i see the doctor. got a referral to TTSH for checkup. my mother say they will put a scope into my nose. yeeucks... better dun go think about it first. Hope the doctor can fix my nose. if not sometimes i feel breathless leh, coz nose cant get enough air. even walking, climbing stairs also will. not tat i not fit or wad leh. i run twice a week leh.

on the other hand, bowling also sucks. got my own personal ball. buy glove. but bowling still super inconsistence. sometimes can get ok score, but most of time disappointing.

got one phase tat best describe me lor: Jack of all trades, master of none.

Join so many things but nothing really works well lor.

I want to be a guitarist!!!!

my colleagues wanted to go learn guitar. they asked me if i want to go along also. so i just went lor. tat was last wednesday lah. then we signed up on the wed 8pm class. the lesson is at replugged at bugis street somewhere.

today is first lesson. ok lah, learn got to pluck a few sounds lor. haaa. not ez leh seriously....

so maybe if i managed to learn how to play a sound, i play for u all to hear ok. anyway the replugged teaching is based on chinese pop songs. so maybe i play a chinese pop song lah ok...

hopefully i dun give up halfway lah. haa.....

Happy Birthday Singapore!!

Today is 9th August, Singapore National Day. Nothing special actually. Somehow I dun feel any national day spirit anywhere this year. Nobody put up flags outside their flats anyway.

On the other hand, I really dun have any things to blog about leh. everyday is the same old boring day.

so tats explains why not much updates lah. coz nothing happen mah. haaaa
