This is my new post in 2012. Happy new year!!! A bit late, but better than never. Haa!!

Marriage life is great!! But work life sucks big time. Stuck in a stupid project, with stupid users and stupid project manager and worst still, stupid DH.

So my goal for 2012 is to change my job. And this time I mean business, because I have already sent several emails with my CV and also been to 2 interviews. Not much news yet, but I going for another interview this Friday. Hope for the best lah!!!!

Dragon year is coming soon, but nope I wont be planning to have bb so soon. Maybe next year or so bah.. Hee.. Wishing everyone a happy year of the dragon in advance!!!!

It's my birthday today but this year I never take leave because got work to do in office and I had taken many days off for my wedding next week!!

Dear brought me to Holiday Inn Orchard Window On The Park restaurant to eat buffet dinner. And I got a beautiful LV wallet from dear. Thank you dear. Love you so much. Muacks.

32th Monthsary, An Chuan and GDL day

Happy 32th Monthsary dear. Today is also our bridal bed setting and guo da li day.

Woke up at 7am to prepare. Put on the new bed sheets, hang the ang cai at the door. Place the neccessary things on the bed and on the lamp. Then An Chuan is done.

Next is Guo Da Li. Went to collect the cakes from the cake shop with by 3 brothers and off we go to dear's hse. After exchanging the gifts, my brothers and I return hm and my mum
and I proceed to about 10 locations to give out the cards and wedding invitr.

From amk to upper thomson then to boon keng then to chinatown then to alijunied area then to east coast rd then to tanah merah then to paris ris then to puggol then to sengkang and lastly woodlands. Haa. really tiring but happy also.

The next big thing to look forward to is our wedding day!!! 15 more days!! woohoo!

I can't believe it..... Just one more month to our big day!!!!! Gone were the days I tot I be alone for the rest of my life. To have my dear to spend the rest of my life with, to start family with, to grow old together with. I am really a lucky guy!!

Really lucky because firstly, I not exactly the handsome type of guys, i know myself well enough. But plus point is that I am tall lah... This I cant deny.. haa.. And I got the worst temper you can imagine. Guess I inherit this from my dad. So sometimes and til today, I still throw my bad temper at home, at work, outside, and even with dear...

And I am a selfish and greedy person. If got good things, I rather have them myself first then got balance then give others.. This I cant help it. It's a part of me already. And in this competitive little island, if you don't fight for yourself, you will sure to lose out...

And I don't like to lose to others and I don't like to give in. The wanting to win and show off is also the other not so good side of me. But I guess its not so easy to change all these. One way is to see the world with a open heart and don't take everything to heart so much. I try lah.... Say ez, do difficult..

Ever since I had dear by my side, I can share all I have with her because she is the other part of me who makes me complete. All my joy, sorrows I can pour out to her. She is my best friend and partner and there is no other person who can replace her in my heart.

On 30th Oct 2011, I be a complete person and I will have a complete life and I am so looking forward to it. Just hope I don't be a gan cheong spider on that day. LOLx...

2 weeks more to Guo Da Li... Bought all the necessary things already less some small items which we will go down to chinatown to get. Cakes also booked already. 2 days before the GDL day, our new King size bed will arrive. Hope our small little room wont be to cram up.. haa..

Went to collect our wedding album as well as to try our AD wedding suits and gowns. I have grown a bit sideways since the photo taking in April. All of the pants and suits I wore in April are now a bit tight. Jialat.... Need to diet and diet... Dear must diet diet also then wear wedding gown then nice nice.. We jiayou together ok.

My nephew Matthias Tan Jian Kai decided to come out to this world today.....

My mother told me I can't go see him yet because I haven 拜太岁. So my mother went to temple to pray for everyone.

Then the next day dear & I went to TMC to see him.. So exciting.....

He is the first next generation of our entire family, my first nephew, my parents' first grandchild.

Today went to IMM where our Bridal Shop Double Up is to try out the clothes for our photoshoot.. Poor dear keep trying and trying different gowns... many of which she did not know how to put on...... Tiring but was quite fun....

After that the rest came. Henry & gf and Gabriel. We went to Tonkichi Restaurant at Shaw House (Lido).

The restaurant is famous mainly for its Katsu (Fried Pork). So most of us ordered Katsu related food.

Today we had a Melbourne Uni school mate gathering at Nando's @ Bugis Junction. We used to eat Nando's at Melbourne once in a while.

Then recently Sihao discovered that they open one branch in Singapore at Bugis Junction so we went there to eat..

The food there is quite nice and they have different spicy level for you to choose. 3 levels I think.. But I forgot what I ordered liao coz I nvr take picture.. Only took one of the menu only.. Haa...

i help dear to buy her iphone4 when she was in Genting over the last weekend. When she came back, I tried to cut her normal size sim card to the micro sized but failed. The iPhone could not detect the sim card at all.

So today we went to vivocity to get her a new micro sim card.. Hurray dear can use her IPhone4 liao...

Went to collect my iphone 4 at Marina Bay Sands just now.. MBS wasn't really convenient because currently it quite far away if you try to walk there from the nearest MRT station. Worse still, there is not a single public phone in there..

Why I know? Because when I collected my iphone, i upgraded my plan to one that is bundled with data. At the same time, I also traded in my stupid lousy omina.

And..... my new micro sim card was not activated yet, so I cant call with my iPhone. Then I can't use my current sim card to call because I had traded my omnia and I didn't have a spare phone with me.

Very smart right? Then poor dear was waiting for me at Marina Sq, wondering why I had not called yet and she couldn't get thru to me too..

So I asked the information counter at MBS for a public phone, and you know what? The reply was "Sorry sir, there is no public phone here". Omg... an Integrated Resort (IR) but no public phones? wow... I was really shocked..

So I ran to Marina Sq, and there is no public phone too.. shit.....

So in the end, I managed to find one public phone at City Link... Yes, I walked damn far...

After locating my poor hungry and tired dear, we finally met up and go for our dinner at Mac.. The time was about 8.50Pm nearly 9 already....

crap.. what a day... anyway luckily the effort was worth it.. Apple iPhone 4 is really cool.. Simply love how the phone works... The speed, the simplicity, the games.... I was just wondering why I chosed Omnia and not 3GS previously... haa..

Day 2 - Marine Walk & Countdown dear's birthday

Wanted to wake up to see the sun rise, but by the time we are up, the sun already out.. haa.. but its still a beautiful sight..

Just now in the late afternoon, I and dear met up with my uni-mates for lunch at fish & co. Took some pictures of dear carrying rachel's daughter, xinyi.. Sooooo cute...

then we went to takashimaya to buy a present of dear's cousin for his 21st birthday. we bought a gift pack with a wallet, belt and key pouch..

end of this mth, we going down to HDB again, this time to sign the agreement of lease. So we will get back 2k, and pay the downpayment of 5% with cpf... Kinda looking forward to it.. Step 1 to having a home of our own... =)

Kai Ling dear & I, our wedding will be held on 30th Oct 2011. So to all friends and relatives, start saving money arh.... keke...

So you might be asking when did I pop the question? Some of you might already know coz I did post up some pictures here on this blog.. Its actually last year on my birthday at Bintan, Indonesia.

Paying for booking fee for our new HDB, paying for the Bridal package and paying the deposit for the hotel... Its really not cheap to get married. haaa...

But the process is really fun.... Actually I did want to get married earlier, but we stick to the agreement to have it in 2011...

Basically, I am a person who do not like to wait. I rather make things happen, then wait for things to happen.. In other words, I am a impatience person lah.... LOLx..

Actually I m kind of a "control freak".

Its really true. At work, there are many things that I rather do it myself than let other people do. For example applications or modules that were developed by me. I wouldnt want people to touch them. I rather want to "control" who changes or touches the program. Because I simply don't trust them. And if someone does changes my codes, I will criticize on their poor logic or coding... I think I just being nasty sometimes.. Haa... Sometimes I think I should learn to let go and not get so work up....

At home, I tend to plan and execute things rather to rely on my brothers to do... Sometimes, I would blame them for not taking the initiative to take up the tasks or blaming them for not learning to do things... Maybe its because I nvr give them the chance to do... So in the end, my parents trust me to do the things rather than asking my brothers... So I guess its just me...

Outside of work or home, be it any trips to anywhere, any events to organise, I would more often or not rely on myself to do the bookings, the telephone enquiries rather than to wait for others to do, in which some people might take forever or even never, to take action..

In conclusion, I must have control of what is happening around me.. If not I will lose the confidence in what I do...

Anyway because I haven been blogging much, so I though I write more today since I got the mood. Haa...

Many of my friends have got married. Never have I imagine that one day, I would get married too.. And that one day is coming soon, though its like 1 year and 5 mths more.. Seconds, by seconds, time is passing non-stop...

Kai Ling dear, she got a really good temper.. That why we never get into any quarrels or arguments so far... I am the one with the bad temper you see.. So you will know whose fault it is if one day we do quarrel.. But I really hope not.. Keke...

I am really a very lucky guy. Can't express the joy I having now in words. But having the tot of spending the rest of my life with dear... I think I am the luckiest guy on earth..

Ok lah, think I better stop here.. I will try to blog more.. I normally blog on events with pictures.. but recently, cutting budget on outings. Need to save money liao.. For the wedding preparation and then our flat in a few years time..

The chalet at Coasta Sands Sentosa is super small lor... Initially wanted to stay over so that next morning can go cycling or go explore RWS (Resort World Singapore)... Haven been there yet.. Shua Ku hor... LOLx.....

The room so small lor.... No choice got to go home.. If not got to sleep in the toilet...

Happy Mother's Day to all mummies out there.......

We celebrated Mother's Day in advance last Saturday in a never happen before event. We brought my dad, mum together with my elder bro and his wife, kai ling & me, and my 2 younger bros, john & jeremy to watch Iron Man 2 followed by dinner at melben crab.

My mother, now she is in hospital because she went to a knee replacement op. Now getting better le.. Wish her speedy recovery!!!!!!!!!

Busy, but fruitful day today......

This morning dear & I went to Toa Payoh HDB Hub to select our flats..

Got a few choices... but we narrow down to 2..
1) Middle level, good view, but next to rubblish chute
2) High level, normal view, far from chute.

In the end we chose choice no. 2 because although view is so so only but at least its high floor... haa

Next we went to a hotel to check out the wedding show.. nt bad... deals quite attractive.. can consider...

at the hotel, got one bridal studio and we sat down... and oopss... 3k gone... we took the pkg. never really got the chance to compare with other bridal studio.. hope we nvr got cheated.. haaa...

Happy 14th monthsary dear!! These 14 months have been very fruitful and enjoyable with you by my side.

This sunday which is 3 days later, we will go select our hdb at sembawang. Many of the units that we will eyeing are already taken, but nvr mind........ Anywhere is fine, so long I staying with my dear.

Actually we have started to look for a venue to hold our wedding... Most prob.. next year.. so friends... start saving now arh... Since i telling u all in advance.. I expecting some big red packets arh.. keke.........

I got a super good news to share..... I got a good queue number for my sembawang BTO!!! Not a super fantastic number because there is only 152 units but at least I confirm sure can get a unit there.... So I will still continue to stay in the north... in fact it's further north... LOLx...

Went to River Hong Bao 2010 aka 春到河畔 2010 with Kai Ling at the floating platform there. Never been to River Hong Bao before, not even at the previous venue near Marina Sq there. Nothing much actually. Just some gigantic lanterns lit brightly. Never mind, at least I can tell people i go before... LOLXxxx!!

One year ago, this day, was my first date with Kai Ling. One year has passed since then... Today we went to Dozo Restaurant to celebrate this special occasion. Dozo is a fusion food restaurant, similar to Tao's at selegie (if you been to Tao's before). They are opened by the same boss. The different is this one is more class, and yesh.. more ex as well. But the food is nice... However, dear say must start saving money liao... so maybe next year we will have something more economical.

The valentine's Day menu... + one Polaroid foto of us which the waiter took for us when we entered the restaurant.. Very sweet and memorable.

Very very bz with work these few days... and will continue to be bz until mid march... phew....

Today, we (kai ling & I) were aheading to Chinatown to do some CNY shopping. Poor dear waited for me downstairs for almost 45mins coz I got stuck with work. Sorry dear....

We went to have dinner first, coz 8++pm liao... We took mrt to chinatown station and had katong laksa at somewhere near people park complex there.

After dinner I took dear to buy something that she likes alot... and I like also lah....... KOI BUBBLE TEA...

KOI hazelnut milk bubble tea, $4.20

Expensive, but nice to drink. And the pearl is very small small and Q Q one... nice.... Got only 3 stalls I think... this KOI bubble tea. There is another store at Tiong Bahru.. I not so sure about the 3rd one.. Haaa....

Thank god, its friday again!!!!

Kai ling and I, we went to bugis to eat fried fish meat bee hoon.. super nice.. we go bugis always go there eat de.. Its just opposite bugis junction just next to the apple strudel shop and topone ktv...
.... and also prawn paste chicken aka ha cong gai........ yummy... the balachan chilli power...

then we went to illuma to walk walk abit.. just abit... coz been there few times, watch movie there once.. other than that, really got nothing to do liao.. but go quite alot of food there to eat..

I found this fusion restaurant called Hua Li Xuan (华丽轩) on HGW.com that people say sells nice dessert and cute little burgers... so we went to try...

We ordered 3 mini garlic burgers with 3 different feelings... opps.. fillings i mean.... one teriyaki chicken, one sweet n sour pork and one fish fillet... and interestingly, the burgers' bread is actually "mautou" or steamed buns.....

and the dessert is power also... its mango pudding with pomelo, sago and ice-cream... super combination rite.. and its quite nice.... got all the things that kai ling & I like.. haaa..

11th Monthsary

Today marks the 11th month of us together.. HAPPY 11th MONTHSARY DEAR!!!!...... 1 more mth to our 1st anniversary... time to countdown..... heee..... Citibank has a $12 discount for a pasta + personal size pizza at pizza hut.... so we went to pizza hut @ lot 1 for dinner....... Then we went to MOF for dessert...... yummy!!!!

Just now went back to LSC Marc Tay for 1st review. kai ling's eyes recovering well. so thats great!!!!!!

Actually i got quite a scare last night. Coz while waiting at the waiting area for kai ling, suddenly she came out still wearing the surgery gown. Following closely behind was Dr Marc. I tot wad happen, coz tat time when I did my LASIK, this nvr happen. I tot something serious happen or what.

Then when kai ling finally come out with her ultraman eye lids, I knew she was safe... phew... What happen was, one of the machines in the surgery room had no power, so got to go to the machine in the doc's office to check. So when kai ling was out in the surgery gown the 1st time, she had already had her LASIK done...

So now her eyesight quite good already.. So thats great... Nothing better that to have better eye sight without the hassle of spects to start the new year, isn't it???

Summary for 2009

This year has been a superb year for me.. Everything has been going smoothly... I found my love in feb, and in oct, she agree to marry me.... It's just fate. Once it comes, everything just moves like the flowing river...... and the plan is to have our customary in 2011...

we are looking for flats though.. apply for the boon lay bto but got a horrible queue number. We applied for the sembawang bto liao... hope when the results come out in feb next year, we have a good good queue number.. this kind of waiting n waiting is really very sian you know..... in Jan next year there is cck bto also.. maybe we will try also....

worst case scenario is we go for resale lor..... but this will change hw things will go.... so we got to see what fate brings us this time....

Talking about work...... this year bonus was ok.... acceptable I must say... And I got a good grading from my manager. but work is still boring.... haven got the kick that I got in the previous years.. not sure if I should look for a new job or not in 2010... this is still in consideration.

So what the resolution for 2010?

1) Get flat
2) Save money (for wedding, etc)
3) New job??
4) Go traveling with dear... (taiwan, japan, etc)

Tentatively, just this 4 first.....

Just came back from Malaysia nia.... blog blog abit on what we did...

Last Saturday 20th Dec morning, kai ling and I together with 2 of my ah yees took the coach to my dad place in KL. My dad, mum, john, jeremy and his friends and yuri were already there. They went there earlier. Nothing much happened on the first day. We just went to Sunway Shopping Mall to have dinner.

The next day, Kai Ling & I went to Sunway Lagoon. Long time nvr been there liao. There are actually 5 parks in there now and the whole place is called the Sunway Lagoon Theme Park. We bought the 2-parks tickets which allowed us to go to the amusement park and water park.

We went to the water park 1st coz that was the main objective. Wah, many people inside I tell u. Still we enjoyed soaking and playing around in the water. So nice to relax and not think of anything, but just spend quality time together.

Time flies when we had fun, we even missed our lunch time.. Hungry liao we had something light after we had our showers. Then went to the amusement park.. Then the amusement park got nothing 1 lor.. so disappointing.. only took a viking ship only.... Anyway we had fun already lah.. So we left the theme park for the shopping mall that was just next door. It started to rain anyway, so we were lucky actually.

Walk walk around... not much to buy.. Just window shopping only... Only bought some feng shui books for my mum (she asked me to buy de)........

Then we went to this quite cozy restaurant to eat. The service was good.. Whoever go sunway shopping mall can go try..

The restaurant is called T.G.I. FRIDAY'S. We had cheese balls as starters which we couldn't finish becoz its just too cheesy... Then kai ling had fish n chips while I had grilled chicken breast which shrimps. Both tasted quite good.. And the waiter came around and asked us how the food.. and everything.. Nice service. We ordered a dessert as well.. Brownie with ice cream... but we found it abit too sweet....

Other then that, everything was fine....

Night Safari Singapore

Really long time nvr go night safari liao... Just now I went, with kai ling's parents, sister and brother.

Think the last time I went was when the safari was just opened..... tats donkey years ago.. haaa.

Anyway, nothing much lah. the night safari. Once inside, we queued like almost 30 mins to take the tram... We alighted halfway to walk down one of the trails. Then back to the tram round the safari back to the place where we first boarded the tram..

Then we went to catch the animal show called the "Creatures of the Night Show"... We almost couldn't catch the show because we were told the show was full already. But we refused to leave and still join the queue... In the the end there were still ample seats in the amphitheater.. Crap leh those "zookeepers"....

Anyway the show was quite short and also nothing much....

After the show, we tried to walk down some trails again but was stopped by the rangers saying that the safari was closing soon..... so.... out we went.......

Today we went because kai ling cousin gave us a 50% discount for the entrance ticket... still it's very ex.... and nothing to see.... ya ya, i said that many times already..

I think the zoo is a better place to go lah... Night safari... you can give it a miss...

We went to vivo to watch 2012... after that actually wana go mount faber de... but in the end we changed our mind... we went to try a jap restaurant that we never try before...

Shin Kushiya..... quite nice the food there.. Its a japanese charcoal grill restaurant.. so of coz got to order the charcoal grill stuffs...

Today is my birthday....... and its a birthday that i will not forget.... why?? coz this year got my Kai Ling dear to celebrate with me.

Thank you for the love and joy that you have given me dear.. Thank you for the beautiful watch and birthday card!! Thank you for making me believe there is love in this world.

For those for have been reading my blog for the past donkey years, I have been posting those "lonely" posts.... on xmas, v day, bird days...... Those posts were mainly about how I envied people of having their partners and celebrating together on such special occasions.... Now I no longer have that feeling.......

..... And it really feels very good..

and this year, i received another gift. It's the most important and also the biggest gift I would ever have.... And....... no!!!!!! I am not going to tell you what gift is that.. It's all up to you to wonder and up to me to know.. Hee....

After dinner, we wanted to walk the beach a bit coz the beach was nearby only.. but everywhere is pitch dark.. so we headed back to our villa.

Today is 3rd October which is also 八月十五 mid-autumn festival. On this day, my friends Raymond & Mabel tie the knot and I was one of the "brothers".

The whole wedding was a great success thanks to us... LOLx .. self claimed credit... Anyway congrats to Raymond & Mabel, wishing u both a blissful and everlasting marriage.

Didn't manage to spend this day with Kai Ling, but nevermind, we have all the mid-autumn fests in the remaining of our lives to spend together.. =)

Today we joined Phyllis & Jimmy, May & Meyer, Carol & Nick for Forest Adventure @ Bedok Reservoir Park.

The adventure park was quite challenging for some obstacles but its alot of fun. Too bad we didnt bring our camera during the adventure. If not, we would have snapped abit interesting and memorable picture. Never mind... next time can go again... Keke..

Oh... One funny thing is I got stuck in one of the obstacle. Hard to explain, but anyway i survived.. LOLx..

I passed my IPPT, finally....

I passed my IPPT, finally.... The first time i took at Khatib Camp, i failed terribly as you can see below.

After that, I reported sick at my camp medical center and requested for referral to specialist because I hurted my right knee during my attempts on the standing broad jump. Then subsequently, I was given 3 mths, 6mths, 9mths of excuse for any forms of jumping. So I was excused from taking IPPT. Because of my prolong status of excuse, I was given a temp downgrade for a year. At the end of my temp downgrade, I went for another medical review, and I couldn't be excused any more. So the MO reverted me back to normal PES B, which means I need to take IPPT again!!! Shit!!! Haa...

So after about 2.5 years or so, finally I managed to passed my IPPT..

Actually I almost failed because of my standing broad jump. Lucky, I passed border-linely on my 3 jump..

So I cleared the IPPT for this year and pocketed a $100 bucks. Not bad lah.. Keke....

Today is 9th Sep 2009 aka 090909. Kai Ling & I, we went to Rochester Park to this restaurant called North Border Bar & Grill. We reached there around 7pm. Not much tables were taken yet.

The atmosphere there was very nice. Quiet and not so bright, just perfect for the purpose tonight. 祝凯霖和我的感情长长久久(九九)。永远不分开!!

The food was quite good and we were adventurous enough to try the super dubber hot buffalo wings called the Burn Ass Wings. The spicyness of sauce on the wings was something we had never tried before. Super hot I tell you. The waitress was quite impressed that we managed to finish all 8 wings. Haa.. Then I had pork ribs while Kai Ling had lamp chops. Nice nice.. Then we tried their best seller: Lava Choc Torte. Not bad also. The chocolate inside is dark chocolate, then mix with the sweet strawberry syrup and vanilla ice-cream and eat.. yummy... The red wine we had was good as well. Not too dry and quite smooth. Hee..

Ion Orchard

Went to meet dear at Pioneer mrt then went down to Ion Orchard to walk walk see see. Big shopping centre leh. 4 floors above ground and 4 below.. We spent a few hours there still haven walk finish yet.. Wooo... We had lunch at the food court there, called Food Opera i think. Then we have snow mango ice for dessert.. Nice.. Check out the picture below. See already also feel like eating liao rite... LOLx...

Then we went to Grand World City to watch "The Final Destination" in 3D. First time dear & I watching a 3D show in the cinema.. Ya, quite shua koo I know. The effects not bad I tell you. Got a few times, I tried to siam the flying screwdriver, stones, blood, human fresh... gross.. haaa.. Coz from 3D, the thing look as though it gng to fly towards you like tat.. Haa.. Confirm more exciting than those 3D animations. Though more ex than normal movie tickets and cannot use our HSBC Movie card, I think its still worth it lah..

Pulau Dayang

I went with Gabriel and Jay to Pulau Dayang this weekend. Think gotta be my last diving trip for this year.. Anyway monsoon coming also.. So no more diving liao.. Unless u talking about other places like Bali where you can dive all year round.

This trip was great. Saw a lot of marine life. Fishes, eels, turtles, worms, stingrays, cuttlefish, prawns, giant clams, nunibranches, coral, and many more. The water around the island was rather good. Nice and blue. Think the good weather plays an important part.

Prawning @ Bottletree Park

Dear got to work in the morning, so she came over to my place in the afternoon.

After that, we went prawning at Bottletree Park @ Khatib. First time prawning there, and also first time prawning with Jas & Eben, May & Meyer and Carol & Nick. Phy & Jim the other time we prawn together already at Jurong Bird Park there.

The prawns at Bottletree Park quite small leh, but nevertheless we caught about 14 prawns. Then straight away can bbq there one. Nice!!

While people are celebrating Singapore birthday at the marina floating platform or in front on the tv watching the national day telecast, we were at my dad's house in USJ, Malaysia.

How many of us? 12 of us in total. They are Kai Ling's dad, mum, 2 sisters and their bfs, 1 brother, plus me and Kai Ling and...... also my dad & mum + maid. Surprise surprise isn't it.

We booked the coach tickets kinda late, so we got some lousy timings. 11.30 am coach from SIN to KL, then 7.45 from KL to SIN for the return trip.

So yesterday, we took the 11.30 am coach down to KL. Kena jammed for a good 1 hour before we reach the malaysian customs. Tats wad i dun like about gng to Malaysia during the long weekends. By the time we reach my dad's place is like 6+pm. We were suppose to be having a bbq dinner. So we help to set up the fire. I didn't know my dad invited some of his friends as well. So its more like a gathering with Dad's friends as well.

Kai Ling, her sister and friends went for their Nike Shape run this morning... I went to meet her and her sis after their run. When I reached there they were queuing up for the goody bag. Saw Jasmine there also. The goody bag quite nice.... haaa..

After that, we went home to shower then went to watch harry potter at GV Vivo in the evening. Harry potter and the half-blood prince, hmm this episode not so exciting leh. A lot of talking, very little action and magic. Not very interesting to watch. Hope the last two finale episodes will be more action packed and more magic....

Happy birthday dear!!!!!! So happy to be able to celebrate birthday with my dear Kai Ling. May we celebrate our birthdays together for the rest of our lives ok??

After finishing our drinks, its about 1+ 2am liao, so we decided to go home already. Quite tired liao.

On the way back to the car, I asked her how come she never asked for her birthday present wor... Hee.. I asked her to sit at a bench somewhere around the area to wait for me while I went to get her present from the car.

Today, 17th July 2009, is the eve of Kai Ling's birthday. I took half day off and went home to get my dad's car to go pick her up at her workplace at Tuas. Then we went to Jurong Hill restaurant to eat teppanyaki. The food is not bad but... either the service is bad, or the aunties didn't like me. One of them dropped a bowl on me, and the other (or is it the same) auntie splashed some soya sauce onto my jeans when refilling my saucer. LOL. Anyway, I was in a good mood, so I nvr care much. Hee.. One interesting thing is that they made us wear aprons while sitting at the teppanyaki table. The apron seems to be more like a big bib to me, maybe becoz I'm too tall. LOL...

Next, we are ushered to another room to have our complementary dessert. We chosed mango pudding and honeydew sago. The dessert was so-so only. Next, I appeared with a birthday cake. Surprised anot dear? Hee... I decorated the cake myself. Not too bad lah hor.... haha... Not ez leh. I sang a short birthday song, she made a wish, blew off the candles and cut the cake.

We chit-chat for a while more then walk around the Jurong hill abit. The wind there was nice and cooling and we can see the beautiful lights from Jurong Island.

Then we went to another mountain... or should I say hill.. Mount Faber!! Jewel Box... Went to this nice and quiet bar called Sapphire. We ordered some drinks, namely, "Sex on the beach" & "Zombie". Not bad the drinks, but my Zombie tasted alot like pineapple juice. Think they put too much pineapple juice. Hee. As we drink and chit chat, the time slowly moves towards 12a.m.

Yesh, its the 15th again. 5 mths of happiness. I enjoyed every second spent with you, dear.

We went to Bugis to eat fish meat bee hoon. Nice nice... Then went to Bugis Junction and Iluma to walk walk see see abit. Then had icecream at Marble Slab Creamery. Not bad the ice cream. Yummy... we had chocolate mint with oreo toppings.

Today, we went to Kbox @ Jurong Safra. Got a safra and Kbox special. Only $10 per pax. So went with kai ling & her sis kai hui and bf wei long.

Quite advanced the ktv system there. All touch screen one. And one interesting thing is that you can record the songs you sang, with the music and everything and after that you can bluetooth to your mobile phone. Some joker keep bluetoothing their songs to my mobile phone. "key siao" one leh.. LOL...

Sang for 3 hours there. Some of Kai Ling's friends were there as well but all in different rooms. All together 3 rooms including ours.

After that, we went to taman jurong Superbowl to play bowling. I only brought my personal shoes. Never bring personal ball becoz no car, too heavy to carry around. Haha.....

Kuishin Bo

Just now went to eat Kuishin Bo @ Jurong Point with Kai Ling and friends to celebrate one of her friends, ting ting's birthday.

First time eating at Kuishin Bo, the food not bad, especially the long leg Hokkaido crabs and prawns. Then the hourly special was quite interesting also. Once every 40min to an hour or so, there will be "ding ding dong, ding ding dong, we are Kuishin Bo........", then people will queue up to get some special dishes. We had about 4 specials i think. 2 times frozen strawberry yoket, 1 time some kind of shell fish, and 1 time crayfish. The idea is similar to the Pariss buffet restaurant.

Transformers 2

Watched Transformer 2: Revenge of the Fallen at GV max just now with dear.

Nice show. "Octopus" Prime is damn cool man, although he was quite dead for most of the 2+hrs show. Transformers was one of the cartoons that I grew up watching, other than Smurfs, Heman, Carebears, Gummy bears, etc....

The CG is good, I like the part where the bad guys aka decepticons all combine into an gigantic robots. I think its quite cool the graphics.

As usual the fighting was abit messy due to so many robots fighting at the same time. But the show on the whole is quite captivating and exciting. The last part where the optimus prime got upgraded and could fly. Wow... nice...

There is one decepticons which could take the shape of a hot chick, wow.. a bit like watching terminator.. hahaa.. but nice... didnt expect it...

On the whole... Clap clap... but there are some people who says its so so only lah....

2nd entry for today. kai ling & I took leave to rest before gng back to work tomorrow. I fetched my dad to take bus to KL, then went to meet kai ling for breakfast. Then we continued with the final esp of hong kong drama "E.U.". Watch for quite some time liao. Finally finished liao. Nice show.. Thumbs up....

Then today also kai ling's dad birthday. Went out to eat "chu zhao" then come back to make wish, blow candle & cut cake. heee.

Hong Kong Trip 27 Jun 2009 to 30 Jun 2009

Just came from Hong Kong this morning around 12++am.

This trip we went with 3 other people. 2 are kai ling's friend and the 3rd is kai ling's friend's mother. So what we did there for 4 days 3 nights?

Day 1: 27 Jun 2009 Saturday
Arrive in Hong Kong. Check-in our hotel Shamrock Hotel at Jordan. Buy octopus card. Went shopping at city gate factory outlets. Had dinner there at the Food Republic food court. After that went walking around hotel area for a while. Had some curry fish balls "yu dan" before turning in for the night.

Day 2: 28 Jun 2009 Sunday
We tried the free breakfast at the hotel. The food is so so only. After that we went to Ocean park. Damn, it was raining on and off. Never manage to take all the rides. Had lunch in ocean park. Then went up victoria peak. was quite misty so couldnt see much. Went to madam tussand musuem. took a lots of picture with the wax figures including our MM lee. Go check out the fotos. Haa... Then we had dinner back in central at a famous resturant. Famous becoz alot of people there waiting for a table. I think we waited for 30 mins to an hour or so. The century eggs was nice. We had roasted goose also. Hee.. Nice nice.. After tat we went to walk at Ladies street, Fa Yuen street and other places as well around the Mongkok area. After that back to hotel to sleep.

Day 3: 29 Jun 2009 Monday
We had dim sum at a dim sum restuarant for breakfast. The dim sum there was delicious. Yummy yum yum. Then we went back to Mongkok area to look for the famous lao po bing aka Wife's biscults. Buy liao when went back to hotel to put. Rest a while then off we go to Disneyland Hong kong. very small only. Tokyo 1 better. Stayed back until 8pm to watch the fireworks. Then we went back hotel. Do some walking around hotel area before heading back to hotel.

Day 4: 30 Jun 2009 Tuesday
We tried to look for a restaurant that sells nice po lo bao. But nvr manage to find. So we just settle for some cafe for breakfast. Then we check out of hotel and put our luggage at the hotel lobby. Then we went to Wong tai sin temple to pray pray. Then went to Mongkok area to walk walk again. Went to a shopping centre called Langham place. Then for lunch we went to this toilet themed restaurant call Modern Toitet. They served the food and everything in toitel bowls and wash basins. Interesting leh. Must go see the fotos then you know wad I saying. Ok then back to hotel and home sweet home.

The trip was not bad lah. Manage to spend some quality time with kai ling. Haa. Took many fotos together. Really quite fun. But I think its too short lah. Still got many places haven go, many food haven eat...

Good things nvr last long, tat wad people always say. So I guess maybe the other places next time then go lor...

Next trip..... KL trip to my dad's place and shopping at KL. National day weekend.. Heeeee

Chan Bro & chinatown claypot chicken rice

Today, we went down to Chan Brother office at Fook Hai building to collect our e-tickets and other documents for our Hong Kong tour. Yupe, we are flying to Hong Kong this Saturday morning!!!

Then we went in search of the famous chinatown claypot rice stall. After walking for a while, we found the stall on the 2nd floor of the chinatown hawker center. The claypot rice was nice. The rice is smooth and fragrant, chicken meat is fresh and well cooked. We ordered one melon soup and vegetable and all cost 13 bucks only. Very cheap.... and delicious.

Singapore river fest

Heard from my colleague, there is a singapore river fest at boat quay and clarke quay area. So we went down to clarke quay area.

Had dinner at waraku@central. got many people waiting to come in and waiting to eat, so the food came after waiting for 30mins or so. after dinner then went down to walk walk abit. nothing much actually. we missed the performance at 8.30pm and the next is at 11.30pm which is too late liao. So we just go and take the free river cruise.

Becoz it is FOC, got a long queue. Wait for 30mins or so then board the boat. then kns, the cruise moved so fast as though the singapore river is so big like tat. In just 10 mins, reach boat quay liao, which is where we wait to alight. I think the waiting is many times more than the boat ride itself. lolx.

Turi Beach Resort, Batam

Just came back from Batam with Kai Ling. We stayed at a resort called Turi Beach Resort. So relaxing over there. Wish we can stay there longer leh. We took the ferry from Tarah Merah Ferry Terminal to Nongsa Ferry Terminal in Batam. Then we took a shutter bus to the resort.

Pulau Redang

Finally, after so long.... Diving at Redang was one of my wishlist on 2008 carried over to 2009

No underwater pictures.... As I said, i couldn't get the underwater case for my camera.

Nevertheless, I took some pictures of the island.

The diving was fantastic. We went for total 5 dives. Saw lot of fishes n turtles... Damn nice diving spots.. Wish i could stay there another few days to dive.

Everything was great for this trip, except for the long bus ride. Really damn tiring and boring.

Redang... Here I come

After waiting for a year, finally, I am going diving at Redang. Later I be meeting 2 of my friends at Golden mile later at 8+ and will be taking a 10+ hrs bus ride.

I guess the itinerary will be something like this.

Thursday nite to Friday morning
Transfer to Redang lagoon resort. Rest at resort. Have lunch or brunch.

Friday
Afternoon 2 dives. Dinner.

Saturday
3 dives. Breakfast, lunch & dinner.

Saturday night or Sunday early morning
Transfer back to Singapore.

I couldnt manage to get the underwater housing for my Fujifilm camera. So guess, I could only take fotos of the bus trip, the island and maybe the boat. But no fishes and coral reefs. What a waste.

Angel & Demons

We went to GV Max @ Vivo to watch Angels & Demons. Not bad, but I prefer watching the Da Vinci Code. The story plot was not as capitivating and exciting. The whole movie mainly focused on the few churches and you can roughly guess what going to happen next by following the story. For example when looking for "FIRE", you be expecting someone being killed using fire, and water someone being drown.. Something like that...

But the story book should be more interesting lah. But too bad, I have given up on books already. Haa.. I haven even finish reading the Da Vinci Code that I bought at Changi Airport last year during my business trip to Ho Chi Minh City.

Dinner @ Geylang

Kailing wanted to try the frog leg porridge at Geylang coz she heard one of her friends Tingting mentioned. So we went. I wasn't sure where the store was and whether I been there before. Lucky, there was Google. Heee...

From the numerious sites that wrote about the different frog leg porridge stores in Geylang, we came to a conclusion that the one at Lorong 9 should be the nice. The store is called Lion City Frog Porridge. Not cheap though, but the porridge and frog legs are good. We ordered one Kung Pao and ginger frog. Each frog costs $8. And we also ordered porridge for 2 pax. So altogether $8 + $8 + $3 = $19. The Kung Pao frog was spicy and sweet. The ginger one was nice also. But I think the Kung Pao one nicer.

After dinner, next stop..... You Tiao Da Wang (Oily stick king) !!!!!!! They moved away from their original location for quite some time liao. So we slowly walked to Lorong 27A which is the new location. At Lorong 27A, its no longer a store liao. The whole coffee shop belongs to them. And they also sell some other food, but the main business is still the you tiao lah...

CCK MOF dessert

We went to Lot 1 shopping centre at Choa Chu Kang for dinner today. At dinner at a store at the basement that sells Jap and Korea food. Forgot whats the name liao. Then went to this japanese-themed store on the 3rd floor to eat dessert. The name is Ministry of Food (MOF). The dessert is quite nice. Those who never try should go... Hee...

Our dinner, one suppose to be omelette noodle and one scrambled noodle.
But end up both look the same. LOL. The noodle sold at Taka basement is nicer

The white balls are glutinous rice balls. Very QQ one. yummy!!

The green tea icecream in the middle is good too!!!
